ACFEF Quality Program

Criteria

The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s (ACFEF) Quality Program status is a recognition earned by non-degree granting culinary programs that offer training and education but do not meet qualification requirements for ACFEF accreditation.

Programs that qualify include:

  • Specialized or single subject programs
  • Formalized demonstration classes
  • Online educational programs
  • International non-degree culinary programs that market to American students

Application Process

Submit an application with supporting documents to the ACF national office. Download the application package to get started. Supporting documentation includes:

  • Program’s mission statement
  • Description of student levels and curriculum details such as lesson plans and syllabi
  • Description of teaching methods
  • Analysis of academic and/or laboratory related hours
  • Instructor profiles and facility descriptions

Applications will then be reviewed to determine the education value for the particular program. After preliminary review, a site visit will occur to determine that the education described is being properly delivered. Quality Programs are automatically accepted as approved continuing education centers and give credit toward ACF certification. By becoming ACFEF Quality Program, short-term programs at schools, colleges and other educational entities can brand their course of study with the ACFEF logo and name.
