ACF Culinary Team USA Manager

Leonardi served as captain of the 2012 ACF Culinary National Team USA that placed third overall at the 2010 Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg, and sixth overall at the 2012 Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) or “culinary Olympics” in Erfurt, Germany. He was a member of the ACF Culinary Regional Team USA that placed first in the 2008 IKA. His experience includes department chair/assistant professor at Johnson & Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island, and research and development chef at Rich’s SeaPak, St. Simons Island, Georgia. Leonardi has won several medals in international competitions and, in 2009, he won ACF’s U.S.A.’s Chef of the Year.

Jilleba graduated with honors from The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York, and is one of only 68 ACF-certified Master Chefs in the nation. He has received numerous medals in national and international competitions, including winning a gold medal and three bronze medals as part of the Confrérie de la Chaî des Rô Culinary Team at the 1992 “culinary Olympics” in Frankfurt, Germany, and two gold medals in the 1988 competition. He served as manager of the 2012 ACF Culinary Team USA and ACF Culinary Youth Team USA from 2001–2009.
Stafford DeCambra, CEC®, CCE®, CCA®, AAC®

DeCambra is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York, and past chair of the American Academy of Chefs, ACF’s honor society for chefs. He has worked in several foodservice venues in Hawaii, where he is from, and was corporate executive chef for PCI Gaming Authority in Atmore, Alabama, for several years. DeCambra has received more than 60 national and international competition medals during his career and serves as judge for national and international culinary competitions.
Shawn Culp, CEC®, MBA
ACF Culinary Youth Team USA Coach

Culp has more than 12 years of competition experience. He has received several medals in ACF-sanctioned competitions and was awarded a Culinary Oscar from The Greenbrier Resort, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. He was a member of ACF Culinary Regional Team USA, which earned a silver medal and placed fourth overall in the regional category at the 2012 Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA).
Daniel Hugelier, CMC®

Hugelier is one of only 68 Certified Master Chefs in the nation. He was a member of ACF Culinary Team USA from 1980–1988 and served as a team coach from 1990–2000. His experience includes culinary arts instructor at Schoolcraft College, Livonia, Michigan; executive chef, Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Grand Rapids, Michigan; and executive chef, The Detroit Athletic Club, Detroit. Hugelier has won several awards in ice carving and national and international culinary competitions.
Timothy Prefontaine, CEC®
ACF Culinary Team USA Coach
Job: Executive chef, The Fort Worth Club, Fort Worth, Texas
Chapter: Texas Chefs Association
Prefontaine was a member of the 2008 ACF Culinary Regional Team USA that placed first in the 2008 Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung. He was also a member of the 2012 ACF Culinary Team USA that placed third overall in the 2010 Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. He has been a coach for ACF Culinary Team USA since 2013, and is focused on preparing the team for the IKA in 2016. He has been competing for over 15 years and has received several medals in national and international competitions. In 2014, Prefontaine won ACF’s U.S.A.’s Chef of the Year.
