A Program Coordinator is assigned to oversee the ACFEF Apprenticeship Program at each location. This person works with an apprenticeship committee, supervising chefs, apprentices and a local postsecondary school to assure that the program is operating in compliance with the ACFEF national guidelines.
Responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include
Recruiting, interviewing and selecting apprentices for program
Assisting apprentices with completing Apprentice Data Form and registering apprentices with national office
Monitoring apprentices’ progress through program
Reviewing apprentices’ log books
Assisting apprentices in fulfilling graduation requirements
Serving on Apprenticeship Committee
Visiting apprenticeship training facilities
Coordinating the program with the postsecondary schools, making sure the required ACFEF competencies is being presented
Completing and submitting an Annual Report Form to national office
Verifying accuracy of apprentice rosters distributed by ACFEF
Reporting apprenticeship activities to local chapter
