An apprenticeship program site visit will be made during the first year of the application process and in 3 years after expiration of the program recognition. Two trained evaluators visit the program, sponsoring houses, location for related instruction and the chapter if applicable. The evaluators will be on site for at least one full day, possibly a day and a half, depending on the size of the program and number of sponsoring houses. The function of the evaluation team is to verify information in the programís summary and to report all facts observed during the visit as to how the program is meeting its stated mission and goals and has come into compliance with the NAC Guidelines. Evaluators will review agreements, log books, interview apprentices and supervising chefs and review other documents required of the program. Evaluator expenses are the responsibility of the sponsoring program. The program coordinator will be contacted to schedule the mutually agreed upon site visit date.
