Candidate’s Statement
During the current term of office, I have been representing the members of the ACF Western Region and have been making a positive difference as your elected Regional Vice-President. I have listened to many thoughts and visions form Chapter Presidents and members in the West, and will continue to listen going forward. I have a track record of analytical thinking and action driven accomplishments combined with strong communications skills. I am confident I have shown the qualities necessary to continue to be your Vice-President.

Bio

Chef Goodwin took the culinary scenic route through San Diego, Honolulu, Kauai, and San Francisco, coming up through the ranks to Chef and settled in Nevada 32 years ago.
For the past three decades, Chef Goodwin has been an Executive Chef/Chef-Food and Beverage Director at large hotel casinos, including 18 years at the then Five Star Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Under Chef Goodwin’s direction, Harrah’s Tahoe was the first major hotel or casino property to have a salaried staff of fourteen Chefs and Sous Chefs, all of whom were ACF certified! Chef Goodwin also supervised a staff of over 350 people.
Additionally, Chef Goodwin created and directly oversaw one of the western region’s first ACF approved successful in-house Apprenticeship Programs.
He has also been recognized twice as the Executive Chef of two different DiRoNA award-winning restaurants.
Chef Goodwin has owned two successful restaurants and operated four F&B related businesses during his career, and currently operates Culinary Solutions a la Carte Consulting which is a restaurant consulting business specializing in restaurant turn-a-rounds, menu design, recipe development, and cook-chill systems.
