Candidate’s Statement
I truly believe the continued future success of our great organization will be guided by strong financial responsibility, growth and retention of new members and the operation of our federation as the diverse business that it is. My objective is to lead with a keen outlook towards growth, working closely with our Board members. I will promote the ACF through my strong industry partners and involvement with our junior and student culinarians. I will be available to all industry professionals to assist in promoting our craft. May goals are to stand ready to enhance the value of membership, promote our name throughout the culinary community, work for and support our members, and endorse the Professional Chef.

Bio
Chef Neary has spent his whole culinary career on Long Island. For the past 40 years he has been in private, a la carte & multi-unit chain restaurants, fresh seafood wholesale and retail and is now proudly a member of the J. Kings Culinary Team.
As a member of the American Culinary Federation since 1993 and the A.C.F.L.I since 1995, Chef Neary has been on the Board of Directors since 2000 and is currently the Immediate Past President of the Long Island Chapter. He serves proudly as a Certified Executive Chef and is a dedicated professional who is greatly respected by the surrounding communities and industry leaders. In addition to his accomplished career, Chef Neary is continuously involved in local charity events and also helps to raise culinary scholarship funds. He also dedicates his time to mentoring young culinarians whom he holds in high regard as the future of his profession. In 2003, his hard work led him to receive the ACFLI Chef Professionalism Award for his dedication to many students and his craft.
Over the years, Chef Neary has been the driving culinary force behind some of Long Island’s finest restaurants, receiving top reviews from The New York Times and Newsday. In 2004, he was awarded the American Culinary Federation Long Island Chapter’s top honor: Chef of the Year. He continues to keep on the cutting edge of his profession by attending both regional and national American Culinary Federation Educational conferences each year. He is currently the ACF’s National Convention Committee Chairperson. Now in his role of Corporate Executive Chef of J. Kings Foodservice Professionals he oversees the J. Kings Culinary Team, coordinating all of the J. Kings Regional Culinary exhibitions. Chef Neary also heads up the Research & Development team at J. Kings’ Crown 1 manufacturing facility, overseeing new product design in the Kitchen Cuts fresh fruit and vegetable division, the WB Stockyard USDA value added fresh meats & poultry division and the newly opened Krazy Cooks Kitchens, RTE foods division. He works closely with the Directors of Marketing, Purchasing and the VP of Sales providing strong culinary support to the sales team and their expansive customer base. In July of 2008 he was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs, the prestigious Honor Society of the American Culinary Federation.
