Tyson Food Service, a division of Tyson Foods, Inc., has been at the center of the plate since 1958, during which time the company proudly pioneered kitchen conveniences, some as simple as cutting up chicken for consumers, without compromising quality and freshness. Today, Tyson Food Service is Working at the Heart of Your Menu™ to offer the right products, at the right time. The center of the plate is the heart of the menu. Here Tyson Food Service brings operators superior products, brands, and support to help create lasting connections between customers and the meals they love. Tyson Food Service brands include Tyson®, IBP®, Wright®, Star Ranch Natural Angus Beef™, Mexican Original®, and Bonici®.
Tyson Food Service proudly sponsors the ACF Culinary Team USA, helping to underwrite the team’s extensive training and competitive schedule. Culture and art come together at The International Culinary Art Competition, also known as the “Culinary Olympics,” and it is with great pride that Tyson Food Service supports this event and Team USA. In that same spirit, Tyson Food Service will power the United States Team all the way to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Tyson Food Service brings years of culinary passion to the industry through educational and philanthropic sponsorships, support of industry organizations, and participation in national events. Tyson Food Service is one of only three founding sponsors of the Culinary Institute of America’s (CIA) Menu R&D and Flavor Discovery Initiative—a program dedicated to the science of food research and development for the foodservice industry. This new initiative will directly support the three key areas of applied research, student scholarships, and curriculum development. Through this support, Tyson Food Service hopes to encourage menu R&D as a critical discipline and professional career endeavor.
Being a leading protein producer also means being a leader in the fight against childhood hunger. Tyson Food Service knows the war against hunger can’t be waged single-handedly and has made strategic alliances with “America’s Second Harvest” and “Share Our Strength” to donate more than 50 million pounds of food to hunger relief agencies since the company’s campaign to fight hunger began in 2000. Their newest program, “Powering the Spirit,” works to increase the involvement of Tyson Foods employees in their local communities’ childhood hunger relief programs.
