ACF Chef & Child Programs
Childhood Hunger Day
In 1995, the American Culinary Federation Chef & Child
Foundation, Inc. reached out across America with its first Childhood
Hunger Day national awareness campaign. More than 60 ACF chapters hosted
local awareness campaigns in their hometowns with mayors and governors
proclaiming "our" day to their constituents. In Washington, D.C.,
national media focused on the good news--an
ACF chef from every state in the nation's capitol to represent the many
chefs that work hard everyday to solve the America's problem of
childhood hunger and malnutrition.
A step-by-step instructional guide of how to prepare for an ACF Chef
& Child Hunger Day Event is now available for
download.
