ACFEF eCulinary Professional Development Institute

Online educational opportunities offered through ACFEF eCulinary Professional Development Institute help culinarians take their careers to the next level. ACFF eCulinary provides professional-development training and resources beneficial to career advancement in an easy-to-navigate online format.

Culinary features:

Certification Prep Courses

ACFEF eCulinary also features online courses to help culinarians prepare for ACF’s certification exams. Each class has specific information plus short tutorials on the key subject areas that are represented on the certification written exams. Participants also have access to practice certification exams to test their knowledge. Each course runs for 90 days and are worth 20 continuing education hours that may be applied towards ACF initial or renewal certifications.

Practice Certification Test Bank

Applicants are able to purchase 30-day unlimited access to practice certification exams, which will help them in preparing for ACFEF’s certification exams. These practice exams reflect the style and content of the actual exams, giving users a chance to experience the test without the rigors of time restraints and proctored testing.

Note: A new CEC Written Exam will be implemented on July 13. There are different practice exams for those who are taking the CEC written exam before July 13 and for those taking the exam after July 14. Be sure to sign up for the correct CEC practice exams based on your timeframe for taking the exam.

Quizzes for Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)

ACFEF eCulinary Institute offers monthly quizzes from The National Culinary Review, allowing members an alternative means for earning CEHs. Participants who pass online quizzes not only earn four hours of credit per test, but are able to print a certificate of completion directly from the ACFEF eCulinary Institute. These certificates can serve as documentation for ACF initial and renewal certification.

Professional Development and Apprenticeship Training Courses

Professional development and apprenticeship training courses are also available on ACFEF eCulinary. The courses are designed for working culinarians that are unable to attend a regular school schedule. Subjects include Cost Control for Foodservice Operations, Introduction to Foodservice, Introduction to Cooking and more. Courses are added quarterly. Each course runs for 12 weeks and are worth 30 continuing education hours that may be applied towards ACF initial or renewal certifications, and/or apprenticeship graduation.
