How do I earn education points at the
events?
Continuing education hours (CEH)
can be earned at the conferences and convention by attending educational
seminars, demonstrations, the trade show and general session. You must
have your badge scanned when entering the rooms to receive points.
What is the Educator Development Series
(EDS)?
The EDS is a collection of instructional courses
held at the regional conferences and national convention. They are
designed to help educators hone the skills needed to demonstrate
proficiency in educational theories, teaching and learning processes,
and human dynamics. The collection of instructional seminars, lectures
and workshops emphasize competency in:
- Curriculum planning and development
- Evaluation and testing
- Teaching methodology
- Education psychology
While the program was developed for culinary educators seeking ACF
Certification, the components address the disciplines common to
professional educators from all walks. Anyone in this field is
encouraged to attend.
What is the Career Development Series
(CDS)?
The CDS is comprised of seminars, lectures and
workshops and the curriculum includes refresher courses needed to
maintain certification points. The CDS focuses on:
- Nutritional education
- Sanitation and safety practices
- Business management and supervisory skills
- Lifestyle enrichment

ACF regional conferences and national convention provide you with a
