ACF Moves into New Headquarters Week of Jan. 26

The American Culinary Federation is excited about relocating to its brand-new building in northern St. Johns County, Fla., next week. While we work steadfastly to become fully operational, our goal to meet members' needs with the quality of service you expect never wavers. During this time, we ask for your patience and understanding, as we might take slightly longer than usual to respond. Our telephone numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same, and we encourage you to contact us for any need. If you do not reach the individual or department you seek when you call, please leave a message, and rest assured that we will get back to you at our earliest opportunity.

During relocation, ACF's toll-free telephone answering service, (800) 624-9458, is available 24 hours a day. Also, visit us online at www.acfchefs.org, where information on ACF programs and events is only a mouse-click away!

Effective next week, the new mailing address of the American Culinary Federation, Inc., will be 180 Center Place Way, St. Augustine, FL 32095.

WACS 31st World Congress Convenes March 21-25 in Ireland

Join ACF, cooks and chefs from all over the world at the 31st World Congress hosted by the World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS) in Dublin, Ireland, this spring. More than 70 national chefs associations will be represented at this world-class event. Co-sponsored by the Panel of Chefs of Ireland, the 31st World Congress promises to be packed full of educational opportunities, world culinary business and great hospitality.

During this coming event the American Culinary Federation is vying for the WACS presidium, the organization's leadership arm, for the 2004-2008 term. The presidium is challenged with increasing the viability of the chef as a professional craftsperson throughout the entire world, much as ACF has striven to do during its 75-year history in the United States. Our goal is to help other countries' cooks and chefs associations achieve similar educational, apprenticeship and certification milestones as ACF members enjoy every day of their professional careers.

To find out more about the 31st WACS Congress in Ireland, including information on congress registration and lodging, visit www.WACS2000.org or write http://www.wacs2000.org directly into your Web browser. ACF is happy to assist with air travel to Dublin: Contact Debbie Kelder, CTA, travel-services manager, at (800) 624-9458, ext. 107, to inquire of the best airfares.
