2nd-Annual Chefs Knowledge Bowl to Be Held at Convention
Test your culinary knowledge by participating in the Second-Annual ACF Chefs Knowledge Bowl to be held at the 2004 ACF National Convention, Monday, July 19, in Orlando, Fla. Teams of four chefs will compete in this Knowledge Bowl just for chefs.
The competition follows Baron H. Galand Knowledge
Bowl Guidelines, available on ACF's Web site at www.acfchefs.org/educate/knowbowl.html.
The "Jeopardy style" game will award a trophy to the team that scores highest.
To register a team, fax to Belinda Fieldhouse at (904) 825-4758. Each team must consist of four active-level ACF members. Completed applications must be returned by Tuesday, June 1.
Get the Last Convention-Registration Discount by June 15
June 15 is the last day to receive a discount to register for the 2004 ACF National Convention in Orlando, Fla., July 16-20 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Until June 15, active members may register in full for $535; $620 after and at the door. Student members may register in full for $435; $530 after.

President of ACF to Host Special Breakfast with Students at Convention
Students are invited to meet with and share the culinary knowledge and passion of Chef Edward G. Leonard, CMC, AAC - president of ACF, vice president of the World Association of Cooks Societies and captain of ACF Culinary Team USA 2004 - at ACF's National Convention in Orlando.
Leonard will host an informative gathering with culinary education and feedback as the focal points at a special breakfast on Monday, July 19, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Orlando World Center Marriott (venue to be announced). The breakfast incurs no additional fee for students who register fully for the convention.
All student members are encouraged to attend
this event created especially for the future chefs and cooks of the industry.

ACF's Youth Team to Host Gala Dinner at National Convention
The Youth Team of ACF Culinary Team USA 2004 will create a special dinner with the help of Culinary Team USA National members during the 2004 ACF National Convention in Orlando, Fla.
The five members of the Youth Team will prepare four courses on Friday, July 16, 7:30 p.m., at Gaylord Palms Resort near the Orlando World Center Marriott (host site of the convention). The event will serve as a fund-raiser to assist the Youth Team in preparation for and travel to the IKA International Culinary Art Competition in Erfurt, Germany, in October. Seating at the Orlando dinner is limited to the first 125 tickets sold at a minimum donation of $100 each.

Event to Benefit Chef & Child and Culinary Team USA at ACF National Convention Will Give Away a 1975 Pontiac Trans Am
In honor of ACF's 75th Anniversary, a 1975 Pontiac Trans Am in mint condition will go to one fortunate winner in a raffle to benefit the ACF Chef & Child Foundation and ACF Culinary Team USA 2004, to take place at SeaWorld Adventure Park during the 2004 ACF National Convention in Orlando, Fla., on July 19. Ticket holders have the opportunity to win one of the vacation packages, as well as other prizes. You do not need to be present to win.

Entrance to the park on this special evening, which will include a full buffet and entertainment, is $75 each ($40 for children under 12). Until June 30, tables of 10 adults may be purchased for $700 each. That's $50 off entrance for 10 people to the park.

June 30 is also the deadline for chapters to submit their monies from sales of raffle tickets. Chapters are required to submit to ACF only the first $750 raised. Monies in excess of $750 stay with the chapter to fund its programs. After June 30, only individual raffle tickets will be sold, and only on-site in Orlando prior to the event.

Visit ACF's New Headquarters in July Following Convention

A bus trip is tentatively planned following the board of governors meeting Wednesday,
July 21. Buses would leave the Orlando World Center Marriott mid-afternoon and
