National Officers and Staff Attending National Convention
Several national-office staff will be in Orlando beginning next week, in preparation for the 2004 ACF National Convention, July 16-20. Staff members who remain at headquarters are at your service. As always, if you cannot reach the individual you seek, you may leave a voice-mail message anytime through the electronic switchboard. (While every effort will be made to return messages promptly, we ask for your patience in hearing back from us until after the convention.) Also, for information on ACF programs and events, don't forget to visit ACF's Web site at www.acfchefs.org.
All national officers and most national-committee chairs will attend the convention in Orlando from July 15 to at least July 20. If you need to reach a committee chairperson or national officer during that time, consult your most-recent issue of Center of the Plate, and leave a voice-mail or e-mail message for that individual to return following the convention.
Delta Air Lines to Award Two Free Air-Travel Tickets in Orlando
At the 2004 ACF National Convention in Orlando, Delta Airlines will award two complimentary domestic-coach tickets in a special drawing on Monday, July 19, at 12 noon at ACF's booth during the Trade Show. Stop by booth 1204 to register for a chance to win. Winners will be notified by Delta if not present at the time of drawing.

ACF Today Returns to Biweekly
Now that the annual convention is about to commence, ACF Today returns to biweekly distribution for the foreseeable future. We are, however, planning to update our e-newsletter with timely and relevant information not covered in ACF's published magazines. ACF officers and staff thank readers for their comments concerning content in ACF Today, and we hope you'll continue to enjoy receiving it as it grows in 3rd and 4th quarters of 2004.
Submit CCF/Culinary Team USA Raffle Monies
Chapters that have not submitted monies raised from the CCF/Culinary Team USA fund-raiser are encouraged to do so as soon as possible, or else ticket holders might not be eligible to win the 1975-model Pontiac Trans Am or several other prizes that will be awarded on Sunday, July 18, at SeaWorld in Orlando. Please submit monies up to $750 and ticket stubs to Beverly Stuart, American Culinary Federation, 180 Center Place Way, St. Augustine, FL 32095. For more information, call (800) 624-9458, x108, or e-mail bstuart@acfchefs.net.
Sizzle Magazine Seeks a Young Rising Star
Sizzle editors are looking for a recent culinary-program or apprentice graduate who is on a fast track to success in the kitchen. Previously, we featured Laura Bellus-Kaltenecker, 2003's ACF Student Culinarian of the Year, and Richard Rosendale, a young chef de cuisine at the Tavern Room at The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. Did you recently graduate and move up quickly in the professional kitchen? Do you know someone who has? Please e-mail Katie Ayoub at ayoub8400@rogers.com.
