August 30 Is Deadline to Register Student Teams

All teams interested in vying for the right to represent their states must submit the Intent to Compete form with the national office by August 30, 2004. Only state winners will advance to the regional competition level. (Regional winners advance to the Student Team National Championship at ACF's national convention in San Antonio.) The completed form is required, and any team not registered will be deemed ineligible.

Additionally, team members and the team manager/coach must be identified and confirmed as current members of ACF at least 30 days before their state competition. Again, if any team member or coach is not a current, paid member of ACF, the entire team will be considered ineligible.

The Intent to Compete form (Adobe Acrobat) can be found online at www.acfchefs.org/download/documents/intent.pdf.

Submit Junior-Chapter Info to National Headquarters

ACF would like to promote ACF junior chapters and their officers in future issues of our student publication, Sizzle, as a means of building a nationwide junior-member network in which students can learn from and share with each other. If you have a junior chapter affiliated with your chapter, we'd like to know about it.

Please forward contact information for your junior chapter, including street address, phone number(s) and e-mail address(es), to the Member Services Center at ACF, 180 Center Place Way, St. Augustine, FL 32095. Or, phone in your info to (800) 624-9458, or e-mail to bstuart@acfchefs.net. Identify the terms of office for your junior-chapter officers, please, and when elections normally occur.

If you do not already have a junior chapter and would like to form one, merely ask for a Junior Chapter Kit, and we'll happily mail one to you!
