As the culinary industry continues to thrive and educational offerings become more competitive, consumers are choosing institutions that have third party recognition. ACF approval ensures that the educational offering has clearly defined objectives and is taught by qualified instructors. The benefits of becoming ACF-approved include:
- Validate quality that your program or session/event meets industry standards and is approved to offer CEHs towards ACF certification.
- Increase visibility and attendance by being listed on the ACF website.
- Enhance your brand value by promoting your program or session/event as ACF-approved.

Certificate and Training Programs
This option is for programs that do not meet the qualification requirements for ACFEF accreditation. Certificate and training programs typically consist of a series of courses with participants that successful complete the program earning a certificate.
Programs must complete an application process, as well as a site visit, to earn ACFEF-approved recognition status.
Initial recognition is for three years, and renewal recognition is for five years. To maintain recognition, programs must submit annual reports and fees. The annual fee will be prorated in the initial application year and is due once the program has completed the site visit and has been approved.
