Apprenticeship Portal

Apprenticeship Portal Overview

Powered by Rouxbe and hosted on the ApprentiScope platform, the apprenticeship portal is an online tool used for culinary apprenticeship and training programs to streamline and track skills, as well as reinforce knowledge competencies through easy-to-understand text and images.

For Apprentices

Students can use their mobile phones or computers to access the ApprentiScope platform to:

  • Record the skills competencies associated with their training track
  • Log and track on-the-job hours
  • Complete on-the-job training requirements
  • Review relevant subject knowledge pages and training materials
  • Record and monitor their Related Technical Instruction (RTI) progress

For Supervisors

Supervising chefs and instructors can review and approve skills and track student progress through the program via the ApprentiScope platform.

Program Alignment

The apprenticeship portal should be used as part of an ACFEF-recognized program. The required technical instruction, and the skills and knowledge competencies in the Apprenticeship Portal align with the skills and knowledge necessary for ACF certification, including Certified Fundamentals Cook, Certified Culinarian, Certified Sous Chef, Certified Fundamentals Pastry Cook, Certified Pastry Culinarian, and Certified Working Pastry Chef levels.
