Member vs Nonmember Pricing

As a membership benefit, ACF members receive a discounted price for courses, quizzes and practice exams. There are several membership levels available, from junior/student culinarian to professional chef to culinary enthusiast. Visit www.acfchefs.org/membership to join today!

Earning Continuing Education Hours for ACF Certification

All registered users who finish the course with 100% completion and pass the test will automatically have the corresponding continuing education hours transferred to their ACF member account. Users must go through the entire course to earn their CEHs. Additionally, registered users can view the credits awarded from the “completed” tab in the Learning Center after passing the course or quiz.

Verification of Course Completion

All registered users who pass a course or test will receive a popup upon completion with the option to view and print a certificate of completion.

Mandatory Education Courses for ACF Certification

For ACF certification, candidates must provide documentation of three 30-hour courses in Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation and Supervisory Management. If these courses were taken more than five years ago, an 8-hour refresher course is required in each topic. For more information, visit www.acfchefs.org/certify.

Length of Time to Complete Courses

Courses and NCR/IOTM quizzes must be completed within 365 days of purchase, unless otherwise stated in the course description. Practice exams can be retaken up to five (5) times within 365 days.

Retaking the Practice Written Exam for ACF Certification

Registered users that have purchased a certification practice exam can retake the practice exam up to five (5) times. New questions will be integrated each time.

Once a written exam has been completed, the registered user can go to the “completed” tab in the Learning Center and click on “View Course.” The registered user can restart the exam by clicking on the level-specific exam next to the pencil symbol.

Refund Policy:

Online courses are not eligible for a refund and cannot be transferred to another individual. We may consider a refund/transfer request provided the following requirements are met:

  • The registered user must provide a written request to educate@acfchefs.org within 24 hours of purchasing the online course. Verbal requests are NOT accepted, AND
  • The registered user must NOT have exceeded the maximum course engagement time:
    • Courses for 1–4 CEHs: 10 minutes MAXIMUM
    • Courses for 5–10 CEHs: 15 minutes MAXIMUM
    • Course for 10+ CEHs: 20 minutes MAXIMUM

If the request is made after 24 hours or the registered user has completed more than the maximum course engagement time, the course is non-refundable.

ACF certification practice exams, IOTM and NCR quizzes are non-refundable.
