Specialized Certificate: Foodservice Management
The American Culinary Federation (ACF) is the nation’s premier organization providing educational resources, training, and certificate programs to support the professional development of current and aspiring chefs.
Earners of the Specialized Certificate in Foodservice Management have demonstrated a recognized level of proficiency in the subject area. This exam was written and reviewed by industry-recognized subject matter experts and covers key concepts on foodservice management, beverage management, front-of-house management and food safety/sanitation.
Upon successful completion, applicants earn a certificate and a verifiable digital badge that can be showcased on professional profiles, websites, and social media platforms. These credentials serve as a trusted recognition of expertise, providing both employers and guests with visible assurance of the applicant’s skills and commitment to industry standards.
Once eligibility is confirmed, the applicant will receive an email to purchase the exam through ACF’s Online Learning Center.
Eligibility
Candidates must supply documentation verifying:
- 75 hours of hospitality-related course content
OR
- Graduation from an ACFEF-accredited foodservice management program
OR
- Current ACF certification at any level
Instructors
Culinary instructors offering certificate, training, or secondary programs can use the ACFEC Certificate in Baking & Pastry Essentials as a comprehensive end-of-program exam, providing students with a recognized credential to enhance their career opportunities.
