Channel Your Inner Barista
with 4th Generation Roaster Jason Richter
Path Coffee Roasters

Join us on a coffee journey from choosing and roasting beans through making the perfect cup of joe. In this caffeine-fueled workshop we’ll see, smell, and hear what perfectingly roasted coffee is like at Path Coffee Roaster's lab and training facility in Port Chester, NY. We will explore a variety of different coffees that are roasted, dive into coffee brewing techniques to help you dial in your brew, take a tour of their roastery to discuss coffee roasting, and enjoyon some light refreshments.

About our host: For Jason Richter coffee has been in his DNA from the very beginning. A 4th generation roaster he remembers his father coming home with the smell of roasted coffee on his shirt, and sitting around a cupping table while a group of men slurped through samples.

These are the memories that have informed who I am today and how I approach my coffee. With Path Coffee Roasters I want to provide the experience of familiarity, with a unique twist just under the surface. In addition, I’m searching for clarity of flavor, sweetness, overall presence in the cup and a body that pleasantly lingers on the taste buds. At Path Coffee I roast all our coffee in Port Chester, not far from where my father grew up.

Jason says, "what’s my number one priority? To deliver an exciting yet familiar flavor to my customers, in addition to searching for coffees that I believe epitomize a particular region. Also, I roast our coffees with care as to never impart any roast or smoke flavors into the coffee.

Recently I’ve made it a personal goal to explore different countries to help inform what coffees I offer annually. But most of all, I want to meet the diverse and wonderful people who work so hard season after season to cultivate the best coffees in the world.

It’s through Path Coffee Roasters that I can bring those experiences back to your cup. We look forward to roasting for you soon."
