8 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
4 T. baking powder
4 t. salt
1 lb. European 83% butter
5 cups buttermilk
Preheat oven to 375°F. Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl; mix in butter until crumbly. Add buttermilk (do not overmix). Scoop out 8 oz. portions; put on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately brush with butter.
